Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology organised two days faculty development in association with Federation of Industrial and commercial organization, on emerging trends in global manufacturing .On first day of seminar OP Dogara from Hero group  provided knowledge about the importance of building quality of the product to win the confidence of the buyer. He shared 14 points of quality management need to take care.Er. Sundar K Arora from Mahindra and Mahindra emphasised on the motto “walk the talk” .He advised the faculty to stay updated with fast changing technologies and shared what Indian companies need to reach global standards. He also introduced the concept of frugal engineering as Ludhiana is the hub of frugal engineering.

On second day Naveen Kumar Bebra highlighted an introduction to global quality standards like ISO/TS 16949 APQP -PPAP, their historical aspects, with its 9 clauses and 500 sub clauses along with their implementation.Dr. Surendra Singh ex. Prof. from IIT Rookree gave an in-depth knowledge of practical manufacturing of iron, steel, pearlite, cementite etc.  He shared the significance of IC diagram which gives technical details of minerals in term of their composition and how temperature played its significant role.While speaking on this occasion Chairman,  Vijay Gupta was   delighted to see the enthusiastic participation of the faculty and encourage the management to organise more such events for holistic development of faculty and students as well .
