Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal today said that the Punjab government is committed for the overall development of the state and very soon, the state would scale new heights soon. He said this while addressing the gathering at a function organised at Doraha today. This function was organised on the occasion of Mr Shivraj Singh Jalla assuming the charge of Chairman, Market Committee, Doraha.While speaking on the occasion, Dr Atwal said that Punjab government is people’s own government and that is why not even urban areas, but even the rural areas of Punjab are being developed on international standards. He said that the only agenda of Punjab government is the overall development of the state and serious efforts are being made in this regard.He also congratulated Mr Shivraj Singh Jalla over assuming charge of Chairman, Market Committee, Doraha. 

In his address, Mr Jalla thanked CM Mr Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal and Punjab Vidhan Sabha speaker Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal and assured that he would perform his duty with utmost devotion and honesty.Prominent among those present on the occasion included Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board chairman Mr Santa Singh Umedpuri, SGPC members Harpal Singh Jalla, Raghbir Singh Saharanmajra, Nagar Council Payal president Bhupinder Singh Cheema, District BJP president Bikramjit Singh Cheema, Baba Ghala Singh Nanaksar, Baba Jagroop Singh, Jatinder Sharma, Gurdeep Singh, besides several others.
