The election campaign of Balbir Singh Sidhu, Congress Candidate from Mohali saw a large number of meetings in various Phases of Mohali and adjoining villages. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sidhu said that it was time for the people of Mohali to discard the Akali Government who for full five years had a single point agenda of toppledemocratically elected Municipal Council to take out their political vendetta. They were not bothered that the development of the city suffered.  On top of that the Badal now played a cruel joke with the people of Mohali by nominating candidate like Ramoowalia who has a history of betraying people like SantLongowal and HarkishenSurjeet.  It seems Mr. Badal thinks that people of Mohali shall pardon him for these misdeeds.  He appealed to all that they must vote for Congress on 30th and send a strong message that misrule shall not be tolerated.

Further, continuing getting support from all sections,  ELTOP Industrial Association of Phase VIII, Mohali extended full support to Mr. Sidhu at a well attended gathering of 1000 plus  industrialists and workers at Industrial Area, Phase VIII, Mohali. Speaking on the occasionMr. HiraTikoo senior members of the Association said that grievancesbeing faced by ELTOP Industrial area were not addressed by the present government because of some ulterior motives inspite of numerous meetings and reminders. Mr Sidhu assured the gathering that he will try to resolve the demands as they were all genuine on the formation of Congress Government failing which he will not come to them for votes next time. He told theindustrialists thathe himself was one amongst them and is well aware of their issues. The other prominent members who were present at the meeting were Sh. Sanjeev Vashisht, Sh. Gagan Chhabra, Sh. Ramesh Chawla, Sh. Sandeep Gulati, Sh.Tejinder Singh, Sh. Kamal Dhupar, Sh. Dinesh Wadhawan, Sh. Surinder Singh, Sh. Swarandeep Singh, Sh. S C Bhutani, Sh. Bhandari,  S. J S Sethi, Sh. Kewal Sandhu, Sh. Yogesh Sagar, S Virender Singh  Bedi,  S. Harvinder Singh and others.

With 2 days left for campaigning to end Sidhu also took a whirlwind tour of the villages also. He visited SekhonMajra,  Khura, Khuri, Saidpur, Giderpur, Chapperchiri, Kailon, Lakhnour.  He reminded the villagers that it was under Congress rule only that they can expect protection of their interests and development of their villages.
