Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Dr. Asghar Samoon accompanied by senior officers of divisional administration today visited Bakshi Stadium to take stock of arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of Republic Day celebrations.While reviewing the arrangements, Samoon directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply, medicare facilities, sanitation, parking and security arrangements in an around the venue where main function is to be held.The Divisional Commissioner was informed that necessary arrangements have been put in place for the successful conduct of Republic Day celebrations in Kashmir division. He was told that contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Fire and Emergency Services, NCC and students of various institutions are participating in march past. The National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest who will take salute at the march past.Besides, a cultural programme will be presented by the students of various educational institutions and the artists of the cultural wing of Department of Information and Public Relations.Samoon urged for close coordination between the concerned departments for the smooth conduct of the Republic Day celebrations.
