“Over 5 million jobs may be lost over the next five years globally due to the fourth industrial revolution and other socio-economic and demographic changes, but India remains one of the few countries with positive employment outlook”. This was said by Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges today during the inaugural address of 32nd Aryans Job Fest at Aryans Campus.“To make students more employable, India should incorporate skill based education and training to its youth. It’s the responsibility of the youth as well to choose the right course in right college to secure their jobs well in time” Kataria added.Kataria was referring to the recent report of World Economic Forum (WEF) of a survey which covers world's 15 largest economies i.e Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, the UK and the US, plus the ASEAN and GCC groups according to which as many as 7.1 million jobs could be lost through redundancy, automation or disintermediation. 

Around 1800 candidates including engineering, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Commerce etc across India participated in 32nd job fest out of which nearly 287 candidates have been shortlisted for further rounds with the employers.Corporate Stalwarts was the prominent company offering highest salary package upto 10 Lacs per annum. Heavy rush was also witnessed in the companies like Bajaj Allianz life insurance, M Carbon, Career cart, Aspire management solution, Beon system, Divya gas petroleum, Graycell Technologies, IDS Infotech Ltd., Outline system, Wave Infotech, Virtual Vault Solutions Pvt. Ltd. , Oxo Solution, Net connect, Kotak Securities, Fortis Healthcare Ltd, Sebiz, Virtual Vault Solutions Pvt. Ltd etc. District Bureau of Employment & Training, Mohali also participated in the fest.

Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group said that as Punjab is emerging as an education hub hence it’s the responsibility of every educational institute to seriously invest and build skills among the youth. He added that our system needs a complete overhaul with integration of an effective apprenticeship regime.Sidhu further said that Government should step up their efforts to support skills and retraining activities rather than hiring more short-term or virtual workers to create more job opportunities for long term.Students from different Universities & Colleges including CGC Landran; LPU Jalandhar; Accurate Institute of Management & Technology, Noida; Yamuna Institute of Engineering & Technology, Haryana; HITM  Haryana; Ludhiana Group of college, DAV University Jalandhar; NC College of Engineering, Panipat; HCTM, kaithal etc visited Aryans Campus in this one day job fest.
