All India Secretary, Fedration of all India Petroleum Traders and Incharge of North zone Petrol Pumps, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that it has come to know that some recent report appearing in some section of Print Media that petrol pumps shall be observing a closure on 24th Dec 2013 and shall be switching off the illumination on 22nd December and 23rd Dec 2013 at all petrol pumps. In a press statement here today, Grewal said that our all India President, Federation of All India Petroleum Traders Sh. Ashok Badhwar and all the team members we, wishes to clarify that no such switching off lights or closure of petrol pumps on 24th Dec 2013 shall take place. There is no question of any agitation since the Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum Mr.Verappa Moily is already seized of the matter and he has assured us that suitable instructions are being issued in this regard. We wish to assure the public that there is no need for any panic and that the petrol pumps shall function as usual. Grewal said that it is clear that All Petrol Pumps in India will remain Open on 24 December.
