Describing the families of security personnel killed in Pathankot terror attack alike his own family, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today announced to take every possible step to bail out the bereaved family members of these martyrs from this hour of grief and agony.The Chief Minister visited the families of honorary Captain Fateh Singh and Havildar Kulwant Singh, who were martyred while combating the terror attack at Pathankot, in their native villages Jhandewal Khurd and Chak Sharif to express condolences with them. He said that it was bounden duty of state government to make every effort for helping these bereaved families. Mr. Badal said that both Fateh Singh and Kulwant Singh have sacrificed their life at the altar of their motherland for protecting its unity and integrity. 

The Chief Minister said that the entire country was highly indebted to these brave hearts for laying down their lives and thwarting the dastardly act of terrorism, which could have jeopardised our nation’s security beyond anyone’s imagination. Mr. Badal said that these brave sons of the soil have upheld the glorious tradition of self sacrifice and valour inherited from our great martyr and patriots, who made supreme sacrifices for the sake of our country since time immemorial. Mr. Badal said every Punjabi was proud over the gallantry deeds of these valiant sons of motherland, who foiled the nefarious designs of foreign intruders. 

Striking an emotional chord with the grief stricken families, the Chief Minister said that they should also feel proud on the gallantry deeds of these great souls, who have protected the country during the counter insurgency operation. Mr. Badal assured the families that he would take full care to safeguard their interests. “Being the head of family it is my responsibility to protect your interests besides bailing out you from this difficult time”, he added. 

The Chief Minister was accompanied by former Cabinet Minister and Chairman Punjab State Technical Education Board Jathedar Sewa Singh Sekhwan and his Special Principal Secretary Dr. S Karunaraju.
