Stressing on the role of grass root level planning in overall development of villages, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Abdul Haq said that developmental works should always be approved in open Gram Sabhas.He said this while addressing the Mega Gram Sabhas at Batroo and Marog-Digdol in Ramban district today, which were attended by a large number of people from adjoining areas.The Minister also inspected construction work of DD Thakur Memorial Community Hall at Batroo, and directed the concerned to speed up the work so that it could be completed at the earliest. He also inaugurated Apna Panchyat Ghar Maroge, at village Digdol.
On the occasion, Sarpanches, Panches and locals apprised the Minister about the progress achieved on various developmental works taken up under various state and central government schemes.The Minister also participated in Gram Sabhas wherein work plan for Panchayats of Panchal-A, Sujmatna, Dhanamasta-A,B,C and Marog was discussed.He also directed the DDC and ACD to participate in such Gram Sabhas in these areas to ensure transparency in approving work plans.He was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Ramban, Bashir Ahmed Dar, SSP, Ramban, Randeep Kumar, Assiatant Commissioner Development Ramban, G.H. Kraipak, BDO Ukhral, Jahangir Giri, BDO Ramban, Sunil Kumar, BDO, Ramsoo besides other district and block level officers.
