Cabinet Minister Punjab Mr Sohan Singh Thandal has said that the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janta Party led Punjab government is committed for promoting arts and culture in the state and several efforts have been made in this regard. He said that the Ishmeet Singh Music Institute has come up only due to the efforts of present Punjab government.Mr Thandal said this while attending 'Valvale-2015' , the music & dance festival, on the occasion of 4th annual function of Ishmeet Singh Music Institute, here. He also applauded the role of the institute in promoting arts and culture.Dr Charan Kamal Singh, Director of Ishmeet Singh Music Institute reiterated the resolve of the institute to provide state-of-the-art grooming budding artists of the region for singing, dancing, instrumental music and audio/video technology.

Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, Mayor, Ludhiana, Guest of Honour of the evening, said that Ishmeet Singh Music Institute is inculcating musical notes into the industrial flavor of the city. He especially lauded the performances by artists of the institute on weekly musical evenings every Sunday in collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana.Top-20 artists groomed at the institute performed on the occasion. The faculty members of the institute also gave singing and dancing performances. Grand Finale of the singing reality show “Singing Champion-2015” produced by Ishmeet Singh Music Institute was also organised on the occasion.Jasmine Kaur was declared Singing Champion of 2015. She was awarded an Activa Scooter sponsored by Harjaap Singh of NRI Silk Store. 

Rujuta Juneja was declared first runners up and was awarded LED TV sponsored by Golde Kathuria, Lovely Bolt House. Tanishq Kaur Anand was declared second runners up and was awarded Harmonium sponsored by Tejinder Singh, Calcutta Music House. Promo of a film ‘Hulara’ produced by Gurpinder Singh, father of Ishmeet Singh, in collaboration with Ishmeet Singh Music Institute was also released on the occasion. Prominent among the dignitaries that graced the occasion included Mr Sanjay Gokal, Mr Shivam Singla, Seo Bridal Studio Pvt. Ltd.; Sudhir Chopra, Foil Printers, Dr Sandhya Mehta, GNIMT and Dr Varinderpal Singh, Chairman, Atam Pargas Welfare Council.The program ended with vote of thanks by Gurpinder Singh, Father of Ishmeet Singh.
