Expressing concern over growing terror acts across the globe, union minister and BJP leader Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Friday asserted terrorism shouldn't be linked to any particular religion.Addressing an event here, the union minister of state for food processing industries also heaped praises on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and assured the central government's assistance for the development of the state."The way incidents of terror are occurring across the world, it's really a matter of concern. But terrorism should not be linked to any religion or race. If it was so, then so many children would not have been killed in a terror attack in Pakistan," she said.

The union minister, who earlier courted controversy for inflammatory speeches, however was effusive in her praise for Banerjee - also the Trinamool Congress chief."Known for her Mamata (affection), a mother can remain hungry to feed her child. I am sure, the person who has the name Mamata and is a woman, is endeavoring for the progress and development of the state. We will work together in her endeavour to develop Bengal," she said.Interacting with mediapersons later, Niranjan Jyoti slammed Uttarkhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat for saying "anyone who kills cows, has no right to live in the country"."I feel that such statements are not good for the country," she said.Rawat, however, has claimed his comments at Haridwar on Thursday were "misreported".
