Minister of State for PHE, Forest, Animal Husbandry and Irrigation & Flood Control, Mr. Abdul Majeed Paddar Fridayvisited Nandimarg block of Noorabaad Constituency in Kulgam district  and took stock of Nandimarg- Gool Gulab Garh Road.Mr. Paddar accompanied by officers of district administration, Kulgam besides officers of R&B, PDD, PHE, Forest ,Irrigation & Flood Control and other Departments inspected the road connecting Kulgam district with Reasi district in Jammu division. The Minister inspected the 4 kilometer road length completed till date and asked the concerned executing agencies to speed up the construction work on the road so that people of Kulgam and Reasi are benefited.

The Minister also inspected the construction work being carried on the Bridge on Nandimarg- Gool Gulab Garh Road and directed the concerned engineers to redouble their efforts and ensure completion of the bridge before the winter season. He also directed the concerned authorities to ensure time bound completion of all the under execution projects for the benefit of the people of the area.Addressing a public gathering at Nandimarg, the Minister said that government is giving focused attention to improve road networks particularly in far-off and remote areas. He said new technology is being used on trial basis for macadamization of roads during winter season which will increase the working season in the valley.On the occasion, the Minister distributed cheques among IAY beneficiaries.Mr. Paddar also announced Rs 6 lakh from his CDF for various developmental works in the area.During the tour, several deputations met the Minister and apprised him about their basic amenities and developmental needs. The Minister  assured that genuine developmental needs of the people would be addressed.
