Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today visited Sopore and chaired a meeting of civil society members at Dak Banglow, here.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joint Director Planning, SP Sopore, Engineers and all sectoral officers attended the meeting.Various public demands and issues viz traffic jamming, sanitation, and repairs of solar lights, unfair market prices of commodities and augmentation of water supply schemes were highlighted by the civil society members during the meeting.Infrastructure at Sub District Hospital Sopore, allocation of new USG machine, deployment of sweepers for Sopore town and other demands were also flagged during the meeting.On the occasion, the Div Com was briefed by the concerned officers with regard to various issues raised. He said effective public service should be the main agenda.The Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned to speed up work on pending and approved projects, so that these could be completed in the stipulated time.
