Janata Dal-United's Nitish Kumar's "glittering face" and his ally RJD's Lalu Prasad's "strong base" helped Grand Alliance surge ahead in the votes that were counted in Bihar polls on Sunday, a JD-U leader said."Nitish's glittering face and Lalu's strong base have got us these numbers. All the polarising (bids) of BJP -- Dadri, Pakistan, cow, beef -- have hit them hard," JD-U leader Nawal Sharma told IANS."It's a people's win. We will see to it that they are served well," he said. The Grand Alliance was decisively ahead of BJP-led NDA, according to the trends in 125 constituencies put out by the Election Commission at 10.30 a.m.It said that the Grand Alliance was ahead with leads in 77 constituencies, out of 243 seats in the Bihar assembly, while the BJP-led alliance was leading in 43 seats.Sharma said that people have understood that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is incapable to lead people and hence they did not vote for them.Members of the JD-U broke into celebrations, while the BJP office here wore a deserted look.
