Ex-servicemen demanding 'One Rank One Pension' (OROP) on Saturday rejected the government notification, and said their agitation will continue."This is not OROP. The notification that has come is not acceptable to is," Col. Anil Kaul, spokesperson of the Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement, told IANS.The spokesperson said they will get a legal opinion on it.
"Once we get legal opinion, we will come out with a statement. The people of the country must understand, this is not OROP," he said.The government on Saturday issued the notification regarding implementation of OROP for defence personnel.The government had announced modalities for implementation of OROP on September 5. About 25 lakh military personnel are going to benefit from the scheme.
