District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat today reviewed the progress of National Health Mission and implementation of  PC&PNDT  act  in the district .The meeting was informed that during the year 2015-16 out of Rs 1109.84 lacs available for district health society Rajouri, an amount of 592.78 lacs was  expended upto ending September 2015.The meeting was informed that 4533 institutional deliveries were conducted under Janani Suraksha Yojana.  Under Janani -Shishu Suraksha karikaram , 4180 normal deliveries  and 337 C - section  were conducted while 7377 diagnostic, 103 blood Transfusion, 1090 referrals were conducted in the district upto ending September 2015.Expressing dismay over slow utilization of funds , DDC stressed  on adopting a  focused  approach  to achieve the objectives  and targets determined in various components  of NHM. He impressed upon all the  BMO's to monitor the progress of each health institution to provide best health care services to the public.

While reviewing the PC&PNDT Act, he stressed on proper monitoring and sensitization for strict implementation of the act for improving the sex ratio.He directed the medical officers to strictly monitor the   ultrasound centres to check sex determination and asked the concerned field functionaries to register the  pregnant  woman   in  health institution so that the  requisite Medicare  and assistance is provided to the expecting mother .He also stressed on  safe Institutional deliveries  with special focus on child immunization, gynecology and obstetrics  services.Various other issues regarding installation of electric metres in all the health institutions, demarcation of land belonging to health department, expedition of various construction work were also discussed.DDC directed ACR Rajouri to frame a committee   for doing demarcation of land belonging to health  department at priority  besides asking Executive Engineer  PDD to ensure electric  metering of all the health institutions  as early as possible. The meeting  was attended by ACR Paramjeet singh , CPO Hameed Choudhary, ACD Noor Alam, CMO Chamin Bhasin,District Information Officer Ashima Iqbal ,  Executive Engineer  PDD ,BMO 's and other officials of health department of district Rajouri.
