BJP Kisan Morcha National Secretary Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that the Marathon of “Run for Unity” will be organized on the Punyatithi of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on 15 December 2013. After Jaraon District meeting with village Panchayat's, In a press statement here today, He said that this Marathon will be organized all over India on this day and this Marathon will be a history of India. Grewal stated while emphasizing on the importance of Statue of Unity that this Statue of Unity being constructed in Gujarat is not only project of one party. He said that with this Marathon every citizen of the country is attached with it sentiment's. He said that this Statue of Unity is dedicated in the memory of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, who devoted his life to unite small states of the country and brought them under a single Umbrella India. Grewal said that BJP workers to help for the success and tell the importance of this Marathon by visiting people door to door. He also stressed that the people of Punjab will also be got associated in the signature programmes to seek their help to collect steel and Soil for the construction of 182 mtr. Statue in Gujarat.
He said that in this way they feel proud of their contribution for the construction of Statue of Unity. He said that Marathon will be organized on 15 December 2013 at 9.00 am in which Om Prakash Dhankar, National President of BJP Kisan Morcha and All India Convenor of Loh Sangreh Committee, will also take part. He also informed that people of Punjab, villagers, BJP Workers, students of different schools and colleges, members of different social organizations shall also participate in this Marathon. Grewal said that Sh. Om Prakash Dhankar National Convenor Iron and Soil collection committee, Sh. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama Education Minister Gujarat, Sh. Chhatrasinh Mori Minister of State for Civil Supply, Sh. Chetan Sharma Cricketer, Shmt. Laxmi Kanta Chawla, National Vice President BJP, Sh. Kamal Sharma State President BJP Punjab, Sh. Sanjay Tandon State President BJP Chandigarh, Sh. Ram Bilas Sharma President BJP Haryana, Sh. Sat Pal Satti, President BJP Himachal visited Chandigarh and trained the workers regarding this Marathon and Loh Sangreh programme on last 9th December 2013 at Law Auditorium, Sector 37, Chandigarh, now all party workers and people are fully prepared for this noble cause.
