The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah, Union Minister and Member Parliament Dr. Farooq Abdullah along with other Cabinet Ministers today pays rich tribute to Former Chief Minister & Founder of National Conference Sheikh Abdullah On his 108th Birth Anniversary in Srinagar.Addressing huge gathering on NC founder’s burial ground at Hazratbal in Srinagar Outskirts, Omar said that Shiekh Abdullah was the model for peace loving people of Jammu and Kashmir and always thought for the benefit of our State.“We can’t compete with his tremendous work outs, and will never be able to find the grat leader like him”, Omar said.Meanwhile, Omar has challenged Narendra Modi to debate on Article 370. He said that Mr. Modi had questions on the need for the Article to remain during a rally in Jammu on December 1, and there should be a debate on the issue. “Nobody, whether Modi or anybody else, can ever revoke Article 370. Article is there and will remain there forever”, Omar said.“I can’t understand why you people are projecting the Article 370, which is the foundation stone of relations between Jammu and Kashmir with rest of India, as a provision which is creating a distance between Kashmir and Delhi,” Omar added.Union Minister Dr.Farooq Abdullah also stated that Article 370 cannot be revoked.Meanwhile, Farooq Abdullah and two other sitting MP’s of the ruling National Conference will be fighting for re-election for three Lok Sabha seats from Kashmir during the forthcoming Parliamentary polls. Farooq Abdullah nominated from Capital City (Srinagar), While as Sharif-ud-din Shariq and Mehbooba Beig will fight from North and South Kashmir seats respectively.
