To hear and redress public grievances, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Nisar Ahmed Wani along with senior officers of district administration held a grievance redressal camp at Jaranwali Gali in Mendhar Sub-Division.Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mendhar, Sher Singh, SDPO Mendhar Shahid Nahiem, XEn R&B, Mushtaq Raina, XEn PMGSY, Abdul Ghani Jagal, XEn I&FC, Mushtaq Choudhary, Chief Medical Officer, Mumtaz Bhatti, AD CA&PD, Naseeb Choudhary besides other district officers, sarpanches, panches and locals attended the darbar.The Deputy Commissioner encouraged the people to raise local issues of public importance and assured them that development activities    under various schemes of PDD, PHE, R&B and RDD would be taken up for improvement of amenities in the area.

Wani directed the officers of R&B and Education to ensure use of quality material in the developmental works and improvement in the functioning of schools in the area.The XEn R&B was also directed to speed up the leveling of Jaranwali Gali to Mendhar road. He stressed on monitoring the work to ensure that the new macadamization specifications are strictly adhered to.Wani informed the people that ration is being issued as per the 2011 census and asked them to register their complaints, if any, in this regard with the AD CA&PD. He directed the AD CA&PD to ensure that no one is left out in ration distribution as per new distribution scale.The Deputy Commissioner instructed Tehsildar Mendhar and Balakote to identify land for construction of permanent bunkers for people repeatedly disturbed by the cross-LoC firing.On spot instructions were also passed on to the officers of PHE, PDD, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry on relevant issues raised by the locals.Issues pertaining to water and power supply, upgradation of schools etc. were also raised in the darbar.
