भाजपा प्रत्याशी घोषित किए जाने के बाद संजय टंडन ने कहा कि उनका जीवन चंडीगढ़ और कार्यकर्ता के लिए समर्पित रहेगा,यही मेरा संकल्प है। बुधवार को पार्टी प्रत्याशी घोषित होने के बाद टंडन सेक्टर-33 स्थित भाजपा कार्यालय कमलम में पहुंचे थे।यहां उनका गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया गया। इसके उपरांत पार्टी के सभागार में टंडन को गुजरात के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री विजय रुपाणी एवं भाजपा प्रदेशाध्यक्ष जितेंद्र पाल मल्होत्रा ने मुंह मीठा कराकर फुलकारी भेंट की और बधाई दी।
अपने संबोधन के दौरान भाजपा प्रत्याशी संजय टंडन भावुक हो गए।इस मौके पर उन्होंने पिता,संघ परिवार और भाजपा में बतौर कार्यकर्ता अपने पुराने दौर को याद किया और टिकट के लिए 2009 में पहली बार दिल्ली तक की दौड़ और 2014 तथा 2019 में टिकट कटने तक के सफर को याद किया। उन्होंने बताया कि मंच पर आज मैं एक अलग भावना के साथ यहां खड़ा हूं,क्योंकि परिस्थितियां कोई भी रही हों,लेकिन अब तक वह एक साधारण कार्यकर्ता के रुप में पूरी निष्ठा से अपना धर्म निभाते रहे।
शुरुआत पिता जी के मार्गदर्शन में की थी,उन्होंने जहां बिठाया,वह बैठ गए,जो काम कहा वह करते रहे। उन्हें याद है कि 50 साल पहले छोटी सी उम्र में पहली बार पिता के चुनाव में कैसे काम किया था। राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ ने उन्हें राष्ट्र प्रेम और अनुशासन में कार्य करने का सबक सिखाया। पहली बार वह आठ साल की आयु में संघ से जुड़े थे और बाद में अभिमन्यु शाखा का अमृतसर में मुख्य शिक्षक बने थे।
अपने संबोधन के दौरान संजय टंडन ने अपने से जुड़ा नरेंद्र मोदी का एक संस्मरण सुनाते हुए बताया कि एक बार मोदी उनके घर तब आए थे जब वे प्रभारी थे और उनके पिता भाजपा पंजाब के अध्यक्ष थे।वह उनके लिए चाय लेकर गया था,तो उन्होंने पूछा था कि पार्टी के लिए क्या कर रहे हो,तब मुझे उनके कहने पर ही चंडीगढ़ भाजपा कार्यकारिणी का सदस्य बनाया गया था।
इसके बाद वह चंडीगढ़ के महामंत्री और 10 साल लगातार प्रदेशाध्यक्ष रहे,शायद यह रिकॉर्ड उन्हीं के नाम है,मगर इस दौरान जिस तरह से कार्यकर्ता उनकी बाजू बनकर पूरी ताकत से उन्हें आगे बढ़ाया वह इसे भूल नहीं सकते।उन्होंने कहा कि टिकट मिलने के साथ अगली जिम्मेदारियों का अहसास भी हो रहा है और इससे पहले चुनावी गतिविधियों के साथ 50 दिन का संघर्ष होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि मोदी जी आज देश ही नहीं दुनिया की जरूरत बन गए हैं।
आज देश 11 वें से पांचवें नंबर पर पहुंच चुका है,लोगों को अंदाजा नहीं है कि कौन दिन रात इस काम में जुटा है। आज चंडीगढ़ नहीं पूरे देश ने तय कर लिया है कि मोदी जी को फिर एक मौका देने जा रहे हैं। मैं चंडीगढ़ और अपने कार्यकर्ता के लिए जीवन भर काम करूंगा यह मेरा संकल्प है।उन्होंने चंडीगढ़ से प्रत्याशी बनाए जाने पर मोदी,भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष जेपी नड्डा और गृहमंत्री अमित शाह का आभार जताया।
पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री विजय रूपाणी ने कहा कि प्रत्याशी कौन होगा,यह इंतजार आज समाप्त हुआ है। प्रत्याशी के नाम की घोषणा के साथ वह क्षण आ गया है। उन्होंने मुस्कुराहट बिखेरते हुए कहा कि चलो संजय जी का मोक्ष हो गया,क्योंकि पिछले दो बार से उनकी बारी नहीं आई थी,लेकिन वह एक निष्ठावान पार्टी कार्यकर्ता के रुप में लगे रहे।स्थानीय नेता चंडीगढ़ से उम्मीदवार बनाना चाहिए यह विचार चल रहा था और खुशी की बात यह है कि आलाकमान ने स्थानीय कार्यकर्ताओं की भावनाओं को समझते हुए टिकट का फैसला लिया है।
वैसे सब जानते हैं कि जनता ने तय कर लिया है,तीसरी बार मोदी को ही पीएम बनाना है और कमल को ही लोकसभा में भेजना है।रूपाणी ने कहा कि हमारे कार्यकर्ता जानते हैं कि व्यक्ति से बड़ा दल और दल से बड़ा देश,हम सब देश के लिए काम कर रहे हैं और पिछले दस वर्षों से देश हर क्षेत्र में तरक्की कर रहा है और मोदी ने पूरी दुनिया में भारत को सम्मान दिलाया है।
अब एक बार फिर जनता को तय करना है कि देश किसके हाथ में सुरक्षित है, पूरी दुनिया में भारत को कैसे प्रतिष्ठित हो,इसका फैसला इस लोकसभा चुनाव में होगा। उन्होंने कार्यकर्ताओं में जोश भरते हुए कहा कि मोदी जी फिर से प्रधानमंत्री बने,यह विश्वास जनता को है,मगर कार्यकर्ता को भी पूरे जी जान से मेहनत कर संजय टंडन को रिकार्ड मतों से विजयी बनाना है।पंजाब और चंडीगढ़ के संगठन मंत्री श्रीनिवास सुलू जी,प्रदेश महामंत्री हुकम चंद,अमित जिंदल और पूर्व प्रदेशाध्यक्ष अरुण सूद मौजूद रहे।

After being declared the BJP candidate, Sanjay Tandon said his life will be dedicated to Chandigarh and the workers, this is his resolve. After being declared the party candidate on Wednesday, Tandon reached BJP office Kamalam in Sector 33. Here he was warmly welcomed.
After this, in the party auditorium, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Chandigarh BJP President Jitender Pal Malhotra presented Phulkari to Tandon and congratulated him. During his address, BJP candidate Sanjay Tandon became emotional.
On this occasion, he recalled his father, Sangh Parivar and his old days as a worker in the BJP and the race to Delhi for the first time in 2009 for the ticket and remembered the journey till of not being considered in 2014 and 2019 for the ticket.
He said, "Today I am standing here on the stage with a different feeling because no matter what the circumstances were, till now I continued to perform my duty as an ordinary worker with complete devotion. I started under the guidance of my father, I sat wherever he asked me to do, and kept doing whatever work he asked me to do."
He remembered how his father first worked in elections at a young age, 50 years ago. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh taught him the lesson of working with patriotism and discipline. He first joined the Sangh at the age of eight and later became the chief teacher of the Abhimanyu branch in Amritsar.
During his address, Sanjay Tandon narrated a memoir of Narendra Modi related to him and said once Modi had come to his house when he was in-charge and his father was the President of BJP Punjab. When he brought tea for Modi, he asked Tandon why do not you work for the party, it was on his request that Tandon was made a member of the Chandigarh BJP Executive.
After this, he remained the General Secretary of Chandigarh and the State President for 10 consecutive years, perhaps this is a record of soet in his name, but during this time, he cannot forget the way the workers became his arms and took him forward with all their strength.
He said with getting the ticket, one is also realizing the next responsibilities and before that there will be a struggle of 50 days along with election activities. He said today Modi ji has become the need of not only the country but the world. Today the country has moved from 11th to fifth position, people have no idea who is working day and night in this work.
Today, not just Chandigarh, the entire country has decided that they are going to give Modi ji another chance. It is my resolve that I will work for Chandigarh and my workers throughout my life. He thanked Modi, BJP National President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah for making him the candidate from Chandigarh.
Former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said the wait as to who will be the candidate has ended today. That moment has arrived with the announcement of the candidate's name. He smilingly said and Sanjay ji's has achieved moksha because his turn had not come for the last two times, but he remained engaged as a loyal party worker.
The idea was going on that the local leader should field a candidate from Chandigarh and the happy thing is that the high command has taken the decision of ticket after understanding the sentiments of the local workers. Well, everyone knows that the public has decided that Modi has to be made the PM for the third time and Kamal has to be sent to the Lok Sabha.
Rupani said our workers know that the party is bigger than the individual and the country is bigger than the party, we all are working for the country and for the last ten years the country is progressing in every field and Modi has respected India all over the world. Now once again the public has to decide in whose hands the country is safe, how India should be respected in the whole world, it will be decided in this Lok Sabha elections.
While infusing enthusiasm among the workers, he said the public has the faith that Modi ji will become the Prime Minister again, but the workers also have to work hard with all their heart to make Sanjay Tandon victorious with record votes.
