Akshay Kumar Speaks On His Box Office Failures. Says, ‘It’s My Fault’

Akshay Kumar is busy promoting his upcoming film, Cuttputlli. He has recently been to a launch event for the trailer. And there the Bollywood superstar voiced his concern over the recent films' failure to impress the audience. Khiladi Kumar has broken the silence on the recent revolution of Bollywood films not working at the box office.

To this the actor revealed, "Films are not working, it is our fault, my fault. I have to make changes, understand what the audience wants, and there is nobody else to be blamed for it but me."

Meanwhile, speaking of the trailer, it has impressed the audience. The film features Akshay Kumar, Sargun Mehta, Gurpreet Ghuggi, and Rakul Preet Kaur in lead roles. Cuttputlli is all set for a direct release on OTT. It will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on September 2. 

Meanwhile, Akshay has released three movies in the past seven months: Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Bachchhan Paandey. However, none of the titles was able to draw a crowd to the theatres. The audience is now waiting for Cuttputlli to be released so that they can witness the powerful story.

About the work front, in addition to Cuttputlli, Akshay has a number of other films scheduled. He is now in the Soorarai Pottru remake filming phase. Along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushratt, he also has Ram Setu. Alongside Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi, the actor has also filmed OMG: Oh My God 2.
