The murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala has shocked the entire music industry, and musicians are paying tribute to him in their own unique way. Haryanvi singer Fazilpuria, who called Sidhu Moosewala's murder "the murder of the music industry," has dedicated a song to him in memory of the late artist. A candle march was also held in Gurugram on Monday.

But there are still some celebs in the Punjabi industry who are doing shows due to some prior reasons. And one of them is ‘Khaab’ fame, Akhil. Akhil did an event recently and faced backlash from Fazilpuria. The latter said, “No singer should release a song or do a show till Sidhu Moosewala receives justice, yet Punjabi musician Akhil did so on June 6th at a water park in Gurugram.”

In the shared video, Fazilpuria blamed Akhil and said,  ‘Shame on you Akhil, you should have at least waited till Sidhu Moosewala’s Tehrivi on June 8.”

Akhil didn't utter a word after this video went viral, but after the Bhog Ceremony of Sidhu, Akhil took to his Instagram and shared a thread of posts that showed his anguished behaviour towards the said words by Fazilpuria. He answered all the questions in the message.

Akhil expressed that he too felt bad and was broken after Sidhu’s demise, but he had to do the shows as the organisers were taking strict and legal actions against him when he said that he wanted to cancel the same. Khil and his team also requested that they deposit the money back, but the organisers and artist’s team indulged in a dispute.

Akhil also reported that his live shows in Indore on June 1 and Ludhiana on June 3 had been cancelled, but no one seemed to have noticed. Moreover, he added, people have been abusing him because he listened to a non-Punjabi artist without understanding the reality, which he continued. He went on to say that he didn't want to disclose any more details on the subject, but that when other artists try to play politics, the truth has to come out.
