Hundreds of people from all across Punjab, Haryana, and other states gathered at a grain market in Mansa on Wednesday to attend the 'bhog' ceremony (funeral service) of the late singer. People are captured wearing t-shirts with pictures of Sidhu Moosewala printed on them with the words "legends never die."Many people also carried posters demanding "justice for Moose Wala" and noting "black day on May 29" and "Moose Wala amar rahe." Some people were waving flags with photos of the musician on them.
Sidhu’s father and mother expressed their gratitude to all the attendees who showed their love for their late son. Apart from thanking notes, Sidhu’s parents also expressed their grief with an emotional speech. He poured his heart out and told the story of Sidhu's life, which is full of sacrifice and struggle. He even told everyone that Sidhu was an ideal son and always took permission from us (father & mother) before stepping out of the house. But what grabbed our attention was when Sidhu Moosewala's father, Balkaur Singh, said, "I will try to keep Sidhu Moosewala alive till my last breath. He will always live amongst you through his music", at his Bhog Ceremony.

Indeed, the legend will always live within us through his music. Though fans couldn’t digest it and no longer hear his voice for a new song, now his father has promised everyone, so we can hope that his finished and unfinished projects might be released. Moreover, at Antim Ardaas, Sidhu Moosewala's mother, Charan Kaur, requested people to plant at least one sapling in her son's name. She says, “Meri benti hai.. osde naam da ikk ikk rukh laake, ohnu chaddna nahi, ohnu paalna hai.. ohnu bohar do tarah vadhauna hai..taaki kuch mainu shaanti mil sake”.
Meanwhile, speaking of Sidhu’s father and mother, Balkaur Singh is a retired government employee and a farmer, while the singer’s mother, Charan Kaur, is the sarpanch of the Moosa village. In a letter written to the chief minister after the murder, Moose Wala’s father demanded that the government take action against those officers who not only pruned his son’s security cover but also made those orders public. He also wrote that the AAP government’s ‘inefficiency’ was responsible for his son’s daylight murder.
