The National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged a protest demonstration in the front of Campus to express dissatisfaction over the functioning of the Central University.The protesting led by Sukhdev Singh President NSF, activitists were raising slogans against the Jammu based politicians and leaders for not raising the issue and maintaining stoic silence over the entire matter.“It is quite remorseful that none of our leader has so far taken the issue on right podium. The Jammu based leaders are supposed to underline this issue of key concern. 

President NSF criticized the working of Central University Vice-Chancellor and also to show there resentment against Central University of Jammu authorities are putting each and every effort for absorbing their kiths and kins in the campus and no check accountability in functioning of Central University Jammu. 

Sukhdev Singh further said the varsity has become a rehabilitation center for retired and corrupt officials. He also said that favoritism galore in the Central University of Jammu. Leaving aside the appointment of over-aged persons as faculty members, the family members and the relatives of the varsity officials have been appointed on coveted posts in utter violation of University Statutes. As per the Central University Statutes, the serving officials should not be above 65 years but the administration has recruited some teachers who are above 65years,” he said. In the process, all deserved candidates were ignored. 

He said that the CUJ administration was ignoring the youth of Jammu region in jobs and jobs are being awarded to non-Jammuties thereby the CUJ, V-C was playing with the emotions and sentiments of Jammuties. Reiterating his demand for early removal of OSD (Admn), CUJ, Sharma said, “There are many cases of corruption pending against Dr.Pathania in University of Jammu. He committed several frauds in JU misusing his official positions.The Chancellor should take serious note of it and the OSD should be removed immediately to restore the credibility of this prestigious institution, the NSF chief demanded. He added that such kind of unethical activities must be stopped by the authorities otherwise NSF will stage a protest in front of the Chancellor residence very soon. He added that it has become difficult for a deserving candidate without money and approach to get settled in higher education sector.NSF member said that NSF will continue its struggle for the social cause and appealed the people of the state to come forward and exposed the corrupt person in CUJ.Among those who were present in the protest included, Vikram Madhyal, Qayoom Malik, Barket Tahir, Narinder Singh, Rishikesh Rana, Pushpinder Singh, Babber, Ankit, Sunil Kumar,  and others.
