Chief Minister Pakistan's Punjab province Shahbaz Sharif has warned the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Saturday that no one will be allowed to close down businesses forcibly.Shahbaz Sharif said this at a meeting held to review the overall situation in the province against the backdrop of PTI Chairman Imran Khan's “plan C” of shutting down major cities and subsequently the whole country in protest against the alleged rigging in the 2013 general election, Dawn online reported. The chief minister said that protection of life and property of the citizens was a top priority of his government. He vowed that all possible measures would be taken to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in Punjab.

The chief minister warned that those planning to take law into their own hands would be dealt according to the law. He said that the law was equal for all.He also assured that all necessary steps would be taken for providing security to the traders.PTI chief Imran Khan has however, urged traders to keep their businesses shut in Faisalabad Dec 8, requesting citizens to sacrifice “one day to liberate themselves”.“If people in Faisalabad think that there is no rule of law then they should come out on the streets and join hands with us,” Khan said.“A day's sacrifice is better than a lifetime of slavery,” he added. The cricketer-turned-politician said that if justice was not delivered, he would continue holding the sit-in till he lives.
