Transport Minister Punjab Ajit Singh Kohar today issued strict warning to the goods carrier's owners against using their vehicle for the passenger purposes. He also appealed to the general public not to travel in the goods carriers vehicles. Kohar said in a statement here today that carrying passengers in goods carrier was against the rule of the roads but the owners of these vehicles using their vehicles for their vested interests. He said that he has notice that visiting the religious places these vehicles were used requently which leads to major accidents some times.The Minister appealed the people of the state not to put their lives in danger by traveling in these kinds of vehicles.
