Addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party State Executive in its meeting at Sector 37 Punjab BJP Office senior BJP leader and the Leader of the Opposition in Rajaya Sabha Sh Arun Jaitely said that upcoming Lok Sabha election will not just be a political fight but a “Dharam Yudh “ between morality and immorality. It is unfortunate that an important and respected city like Chandigarh was brought on the Country’s centre stage with a black mark on his forehead due to the corruption of its elected Member of Parliament Sh Pawan Kumar Bansal. Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency is an indicator of the National mood and this time the whole country will be looking towards Chandigarh to see if the Chandigarh voters will take a moral high ground and root out the corrupt.

Congress has been misusing the CBI to not only save its ministers and other Congressmen but also keep itself in power. They have even attacked IB for vote bank politics however Congress should remember CBI does not get votes it is the people who vote and the mood of the people is clearly with BJP.
On the economic front, he said, that during the Vajpayee Government India was the target destination for FDI. However, today even Indian businessmen are not willing to invest in the Country. In such circumstances, irrespective of the policy changes being made FDI is not going to come. With the current account deficit having become unmanageable instead of working to improve the economy the Congress Government wants to open the coffers to buy votes and bank corrupt the country before they go.

At the commencement of the BJP State Executive Meeting State President Sh Sanjay Tandon presented a report on the activities of Chandigarh BJP. The Congress party whose representative is the Administrator of Chandigarh, who has been having the MP for almost 14 years from Chandigarh and who has been in control of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation for the last 10 years has far from solving the problems of Chandigarh have even failed to understand them. It is the result of the misrule of Congress that the development of Chandigarh has slowed to a near standstill. The lands of the farmers are acquired at throw away prices and are sold to the large builders and industrialists at several fold high rates while depriving the farmers of their right. Sh Satya Pal Jain thanked all the delegates and assured of the formation of a committee to consider and include the suggestions and amendments received from the delegates in the resolution.The final session of the meet was devoted to organizational matters where in the District Presidents, Mandal Presidents, Morcha Presidents and Cell Coordinator presented their reports. Several senior leaders of the party gave their suggestions to improve the performance and functioning of the organizations. On this occasion Ms. Aarti Mehra incharge for Chandigarh BJP Unit provided guidance and motivation to the delegates. The meeting ended with a unanimous resolves to ensure victory of the BJP Candidate in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
