Surjit Singh Rakhra, Rural Development and Panchayats Minister today said that the Punjab Government would expedite the development projects in the rural belts in the state by further improving education system, curbing the menace of drugs and providing more employment opportunities. Interacting with the media after taking over as Rural Development and Panchayats Minister, Mr. Rakhra appealed the officers of Rural Development and Panchayats Department to pay full attention towards the grievances of people and try to resolve them in a short span of time. He said that we all should work collectively for the betterment of Punjab and welfare of rural people.Revenue Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike and Mr. Virsa Singh Valtoha, Mr. Amarpal Singh Bonny Ajnala and Mr. Harpreet Singh, Mr. Manjeet Singh Manna and Mrs. Varider Kaur Loomba (All MLAs), Former Cabinet Minister Mr. Sucha Singh Langah, Mr. Kirpal Singh Badungar Former SGPC President, Surjit Singh Ablowal Chairman PUNSEED, Mr. Jaspal Singh Kalyan Vice Chairman Zila Prishad, Patiala, Youth Akali Dal leader Mr. Karamjit Singh Rakhra, Charanjit Singh Rakhra and Mr. Inderjit Singh Rakhra, Mr. Ravi Ahluwalia besides councilors of Patiala Municipal Corporation Were amongst those present on the occasion.
