Police Headquarters organized an impressive farewell to Gowhar Hussain Mir, Joint Director Prosecution PHQ, who superannuated today. Dilbag Singh, Director General of Police, J&K, Shri A.G. Mir, ADGP (Hqrs.) PHQ, Shri S.D. Singh Jamwal, IGP (CIV) PHQ, Director Prosecution PHQ Shri S.M. Kapoor, AIGsP of PHQ and other officers, were present on this occasion .Speaking on this occasion Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Dilbag Singh appreciated the services of the Shri Gowhar Hussain during his long service career. He said that he was one of the professional and competent officers in Prosecution wing of the department. By the dint of his professional abilities he earned appreciation from his seniors and the department.DGP said that the officer always safeguarded the interests of the department and proved his abilities and commitment in solving the departmental issues. His contribution in the department will be remembered in the future.Shri Dilbag Singh said that he has found the officer a thorough gentleman with great qualities. He hoped that his guidance in solving the departmental issues will help the prosecution wing in future also.
DGP wished him a prosperous and healthy post retirement life.IGP (Pers.) PHQ Shri J.P. Singh speaking on the occasion highlighted the contribution of Shri Gowhar Hussain. He said that as a member of the department he was always instrumental in solving the legal difficulties of different departmental issues. He said that by his intelligence he always rose to the occasion with a positive approach. He said that Shri Mir was an asset for the department who will be remembered for his professionalism.Shri Gowher Hussain was appointed as Prosecuting Officer in the year 1988 and remained posted in district Srinagar, Anantnag, Crime Hqrs. and PHQ at very importation positions. He was awarded with DGP medal in the year 2010 and Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2017. Shri Gowher Hussain shared some of his cherished moments of the career on this occasion.Earlier, AIG (Prov. & Tpt.) PHQ Shri Mubassir Latifi speaking on the occasion said that Shri Gowhar Hussain was one of the reliable officers in the prosecution wing. He also threw light on his service career.
