Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has today thanked the Centre Government and the Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Narinder Singh Tomar for sanctioning Rs. 843.72 crore for construction of 219 rural roads and nine bridges in the state under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY).The Chief Minister said that under this scheme about 1394 km roads and nine bridges with a total length of 466 meter would be constructed in the State. He said that the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna was the brainchild of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. He said that this scheme has ensured better road connectivity in the rural areas of the state. Jai Ram Thakur said that due to the benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the state government has succeeded in getting developmental projects of more than Rs. 10000 crore sanctioned for the State.
