GNM and ANM Students of Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh celebrated World Aids Day under the theme “Know Your Status” to create awareness about AIDS-a dreadful disease, among the people in the community.A number of activities including Face Painting Competition, Rangoli Making, Poster Making etc were organized not only to mark significance of maintaining good health but also for causes & prevention of AIDS.Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group while highlighting the importance of the day said that awareness is the key factor to keep away from this self invited disease and this can be done with the collective efforts. He said mass awareness throughout the year should continue for the welfare of the people.Sidhu further added that day is celebrated world-wide to renew our efforts to save the lives of lakhs of patients suffering from this dreaded disease. He further added that the day reminds us of our duties towards the AIDS patients and we all should take a pledge this day to adopt a sympathetic and human approach towards such patients  and encourage them to lead a normal life.
