Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Vikas Kundal today visited Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Kargil and District Hospital, Kargil and took stock of the facilities available in these institutions.The DC also inspected four sanitary units constructed by the Municipal Committee, Kargil at an estimated cost of Rs 14 lakh in these education and health institutes.During the tour to GHSS, Kargil, the Deputy Commissioner enquired about the facilities available in the school. The DC asked the School Management to ensure neat and cleanliness in an around the school.While interacting with the students, the DC impressed upon them to work harder to acquire the knowledge and also take part in sports activities. He said the district administration has started different events under “Khelo India initiative for peace and development” in across the district Kargil and thousands of students have participated in these games so far. He said various initiative are underway to promote the sports infrastructure in the district Kargil adding that the instructions have already been given to the concerned for identification of constructing and establishing of the Sports Playing Fields in the district.While inspecting the facilities at District Hospital, Kargil, the Deputy Commissioner went around the various sections there. He asked the Hospital Management to ensure every possible help to the patients during their hospitalization.A team of senior officers of various Departments included Chief Medical Officer, Kargil, Mohammad Ibrahim Khan and Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Kargil, Abdul Gaffar Zargar were accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during his tour.
