National Conference Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani while speaking at a joint coordination meeting of NC and Congress leaders, office bearers and workers in Srinagar said that PDP had fielded its candidates in Jammu Province tactfully to pide the anti-BJP and anti-Modi vote to benefit the BJP candidates. However PDP’s plan to help Modi has already failed and will fail in the future too.Nasir said the PDP after having failed to harm the NC-Congress ideological bond, had fielded its candidates in Jammu Province in such areas that have traditionally voted against parties likes the BJP. This pact and tacit understanding with the BJP is based on a quid-pro-quo arrangement that PDP has with Modi-led BJP. Mufti Sayeed, by doing BJP's bidding in J&K has exposed PDP's absolute lack of principles.
Apparently Mufti Sahab has started taking such tactical orders from BJP in lieu of a promise that Modi would return the favour by installing Mufti Sahab as the Chief Minister in J&K. Mufti Sahab's daydream will remain a daydream as the people of J&K value their secular ethos and will never allow Mufti Sayeed to trade their history of amity, brotherhood and harmony for his own personal political ambitions. Speaking on the occasion, Nasir said the NC-Congress Coalition believed in communal harmony and brotherhood and would stand resolutely between Modi and J&K by not allowing BJP to fiddle with the special status of the State.
Nasir said Rahul Gandhi was a consistent and true friend of the people of J&K and it was Rahul Gandhi who represents the multicultural and secular idea of India as opposed to Modi who believes in the politics of religion and pision.The NC Provincial President said the PDP had stooped lower than could be possibly be expected by aligning itself with a figure who has left no opportunity go by without speaking against the identity and status of J&K. Modi in his speeches as well as the BJP manifesto has made it amply clear that he is committed to wage a war against Article 370. Despite this, Mufti Sahab didn't even think twice before falling into Modi's lap for the lure of raw, ruthless personal ambitions of power. Nasir asked NC and Congress workers to stand united as always against communal forces and strengthen the hands of Rahul Gandhi and Omar Abdullah by ensuring the rout of the BJP and PDP tactical nexus in J&K.
