CS donates one day salary for Changar War Memorial

Chief Secretary Vineet Chawdhry has appealed to the people to contribute generously towards Martyrs memorial to be constructed under 'Ek Eint Shaheed ke Naam' campaign in various parts of the state.The Chief Secretary who was in Bilaspur to review the Jan Manch programme of the state government said that 'Ek Eint Shaheed ke Naam' was an appreciable campaign as the objective of construction of Martyrs' memorials was to aware the coming generations of sacrifices made by these brave persons. He appreciated the efforts of the Convener of the campaign Sanjeev Rana in this regard.Shri Chawdhry flagged off the vehicles carrying construction material from Brakhmpukhar and Nauni Chowk. He also took stock of the construction work of the War Memorial being constructed at Changar and gave his one day salary for this noble cause.Sanjeev Rana said that so far 45 thousand bricks had been received from 45 Gram Panchayats under 'Ek Eint Shaheed ke Naam' campaign. He said contribution for the memorial in the form of one brick and construction material was being accepted while no cash will be accepted.
