MLA Khanna Gurkirat Singh Kotli said the rivals have afraid of increasing popularity of Congress candidate from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu and their frustration has been apparent from the statements of rival candidates. The people of Ludhiana actually love Mr. Bittu.Mr. Kotli further added that the people have been disappointed from the dictatorship and opportunism of SAD-BJP alliance and want to give chance to Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu who belongs to a honest and patriotic family, to serve them. Mr. Kotli along with senior congress leader KK Bawa, was campaigning in Atam Nagar constituency for Mr. Bittu.While talking to Mr. Kotli the people said they were already annoyed with the adverse policies of SAD-BJP alliance so they had made an independent candidate won from the constituency that had made a promise that he would never ever join hands with SAD-BJP, but after winning the candidate had cowardly joined the SAD in state assembly.The people said the above said opportunist candidate has again fielded in Ludhiana as independent candidate, but they would nor fell pray of tall claims of the candidate and would cast their votes in favour of Mr. Bittu and send him to parliament.
Kotli said the state government has never shown its will to develop Ludhiana, while Union Minister for state, Union Minister of broadcasting and information Manish Tewari has brought City Bus service, Passport service centre in Ludhiana. Mr. Tewari has also exempted hosiery industry from central excise. He has brought 108 Ambulance Service in Ludhiana. He has also brought fund from centre for cleanliness of Buddha Nullah, made roads in villages under Prime Minister gram Sarak Yojna and brought Ludhiana-Delhi Shatabadi project.He said Mr. Bittu has always followed morals of his grandfather late Beant Singh and opposed malpractices and worked for development.Mr. Kotli further added that late Beant Singh had vanished terrorism from Punjab and had given oxygen to the industry of Punjab that was almost dead during militancy.The others who were present at the occasion were Sushil Malhotra, Makkhan Singh, Kaushal Kumar, Nirmal Kaida, Baljinder Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Jasbir Singh jassal, Harchand Singh, Resham Singh, TT Sharma, Yashpal, Raj Rani, Sukhminder and Gurdeep Kaur.
