Mission Tandrust Punjab: Dairy Department Collects 152 Milk Samples From June 5

Determined to create awareness among the people about safe food under Mission Tandrust Punjab, the Punjab Dairy Development Department is leaving no stone unturned to effective implementation of the brainchild of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, it has held 11 camps from June 5 to 19 and collected 152 milk samples from separate locations in the district. Deputy Director Dilbagh Singh Hans said that a village level camp is being held under mission Tandrust Punjab to create the awareness among the people daily and the similar camp was organized at Ghaloti village in which 120 people were educated about the quality of the milk and other products on Tuesday. He revealed that the free milk testing drive was carried out in the wards 11, 12,13 and 14 of the city and 152 samples were collected by the various teams.Singh told that 79 samples cleared the quality test while in remaining 73 samples, 10 to 30 percent water was found. Further, the department is carrying out extensive awareness drive in villages y in which the experts from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University used to give a detailed presentation about the milk and other products besides the information about various schemes of Punjab Government is also being given to the people in the camps. He solicited fulsome support and maximum participation of the people in the program to make the campaign huge success.
