A delegation from Kargil lead by MLA Zanskar, Aga Syed Mohammad Baqir Rizvi on Friday called on Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and many other cabinet ministers to apprise them about various issues of their areas. The legislator congratulated to    Deputy Chief Minister for taking up the Panikhar to Pahalgam road project with the Union Minister for Roads and Hhighways Nitin Gatkari in which he assured that the road project Panikhar to Pahalgam will be taken as National Highway from Panikhar to Pahalgam. MLA said the road was the main demand of Zanskar constituency as it will be later shorten distance to Amarnath Cave for pilgrims. He said the road will also be beneficial for the people of Kargil and Leh being the all weather safest route and will remain open throughout the year.Legislator along with deputation of Zanskar Constituency thanked the Deputy Chief Minister for his commendable job for taking up this project through Union Ministry. In the meeting MLA Zanskar Aga Syed Baqir Razvi also demanded for Suru Hydel Project which is also the burning demand of Zanskar constituency and also demanded that this project having capacity of 100 MV should also be taken immediately which will feed the area and will also generate the employment to this area.

In the meeting it was also demanded that a mini airport should be established at Zanskar as it remains cut off from other parts of the valley and also projected a demand of establishment of Sankoo Development Authority. The Deputy Chief Minister assured that in this connection a team of concerned officers will examine the matter and decision will be taken accordingly.  Later, the delegation from Kargil also met Minister for Education, Syed Altaf Bukhari. Teh delegation lead by MLA Zanaskar demanded establishment of a Degree College at Sanku besides up-gradation of six High Schools to Higher Secondary School and five Middle schools to High school. The minister assured the delegation that these demands will be considered favourably at an earliest.During its meeting with Minister for Health, the delegation was assured that PHC Panikhar will be upgraded to CHC within a short period of time and non-availability of doctors and para-medical staff at Sankoo will be filled immediately.The delegation also called on Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Distribution Chaudhary Zulfkar Ali. The minister assured them that thirty fair price shop will be opened at Zanskar constituency that will solve the problem for distribution of ration. Minister also assured that a range office will be opened at Tehsil headquarter at Taisuru which was demanded in the meeting.The Legislator thanked all the Ministers for providing their keen interest to fullfill the demands on priority.
