A meeting of Petitions Committee of Kashmir Legislative Council was held here today under the Chairmanship of legislator Charanjeet Singh.Legislators, Qaiser Jamsheed Lone, Javid Ahmad Mirchal, Surinder Mohan Ambardar and Showkat Hussain Ganai (Special Invitee) attended the meeting.The Committee discussed petitions received by the Council Secretariat regarding the grant of compensation of Land and Trees at Kargil District and regarding occupation of Land by the District Administration Kargil.The Committee members desired that the Deputy Commissioner Kargil and Assistant Commissioner Revenue respectively be called in the next meeting of the Committee alongwith relevant record and information. While discussing petition regarding Relief to Flood victims of 2014 at Panchari Udhampur, the members took serious note on non-compliance by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu. The Committee asked the Council Secretariat to write to the Chief Secretary and seek his intervention in this regard.The Committee also discussed other petitions related to Agriculture Engineer Graduates and expressed displeasure for not being furnished with the required information. The members sought personal appearance of Commissioner Secretary, Agriculture and Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD) in its next meeting alongwith required information.During the meeting, issue of 321 employees of Health and Medical Education Department and desired that the relevant documents pertaining to their regularization order be ascertained.
