The Sant Nirankari Mission in India and abroad observed the first death anniversary of their former Spiritual Head, Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, as ‘Samarpan Diwas’,and paid tributes to his glorious contribution towards the service of humanity. In Delhi, a huge Samagam was held in the benign presence of Nirankari Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj which was attended by thousands of devotees not only from Delhi NCR but also from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, and Punjab, Haryana many other parts of the country and abroad many other parts of the country and abroad.On this ‘Samarpan Diwas’, every devotee of the Mission sought to dedicate himself or herself to take the Mission to those heights where Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj wanted to see it. They pledged to work unitedly under the benign guidance of the present Spiritual Head, Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj. Addressing the gathering, Satguru Mata Ji said that Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj dedicated each and every moment of his life to humanity. While leading this Mission for 36 years, he taught the lesson of accepting the will of God and adjust oneself with the circumstances even when they may not be favourable. He alwaysadvised the devotees to leave every negativity of life and seek noble values in the company of saints.Her Holiness said that Baba Ji had lot of respect for everybody during his early life and continued to give the same respect to every devotee even as their spiritual master. He treated them as his own family and loved and cared for all as such. Her Holiness narrated several stories from Baba Ji’s life to show that he had lot of patience and perseverance. He did not mind any inconvenience during his spiritual tours.
Referring to AvneetSetia Ji who also left his physical form along with Baba Ji on this day in 2016, Satguru Mata Ji said that he had deep feelings of love, devotion and tolerance and was always a source of encouragement to others. He advised everybody to attend congregation regularly. Earlier, several saints from Delhi and other parts of India as also from abroad paid tributes to Baba Ji. They recalled the turbulent circumstances in which Baba Ji took over the spiritual command and said that he overcame the situation with his utmost tolerance and took the Mission ahead as the most peace loving movement of universal brotherhood. Several speakers referred to their personal experience during Baba Ji’s visits in India and abroad and recalled how he took care of every devotee with love and kinship. The leading speakers of the day included Rev Gobind Singh Ji, Chairman and Rev K.R. Chadha Ji, Vice-Chairman, Central Planning and Advisory Board,Rev C.L. Gulati Ji, Secretary SantNirankariMandaland SantNirankari Charitable Foundation, Rev Sukhdev Singh Ji, Zonal Incharge, Amritsar, Rev H.S. UpashakJi from UK, Rev Sukhbir Shah Ji from Canada and Rev Gurnam Singh Ji from Dubai.The Samagamproceedings included a poetic symposium on the theme ‘SadaSamarpit Ho SatgurKo, GurmatRaah Par Kadam Badhaye’ (Let’s always remain dedicated to Satguru and keep on moving on the path of devotion). Several Geetkars also paid tribute to Baba Ji in their own way. They included members of the holy family also.A special documentary prepared by Nirankari Studio for this occasion, covering Baba Ji’s life right from childhood was displayed in the congregation. The documentary was being simultaneously shown in all congregations in India and abroad.In Delhi, the documentary was followed by a holy discourse by Baba Ji on video. This was also displayed in congregations abroad simultaneously. The Samagam was also marked by a special exhibition on Baba Ji’s life and teachings. It was titled ‘SarvasvaSamarpanKeSampooranPrateek’(A perfect example of complete dedication). It remained open on May 13 and 14.
