Governor Acharya Devavrat today said that Himachal Pradesh was known as land of God and Goddess and it should be ensured that we maintain our rich culture and tradition at every cost. He said our saints and ascetics devoted their lives in this hilly state for welfare of mankind through austerity.He was speaking on the occasion of Kuldeep Dadwalia Pratibha Samman Samaroh organized by Chaman Sewa Sansthan, Bijhari of Barsat tehsil in Hamirpur district. He expressed concern over the menace of drugs prevailing in many areas and urged everyone to start campaign against menace of drug to save the future of the country. He advised to live life based on "karma" and said that we should be concepttually strong and pure. He added that the society which forget its history and culture could not progress ahead.
He congratulated Chaman Sewa Sansthan for organizing function in the name of Kuldeep Dadwalia and appreciated their efforts for initiating social activities.The Governor also honoured the people for giving valuable services to the society in various fields.Dr. Nagesh Thakur, National President, ABVP said that the organization was working for inspiring youths and imbibe the in them the values so that they could prove to be good citizens.Shri Kamal Nayan, Chairman, Chaman Sewa Sansthan said that the Sansthan was engaged in various social activities including blood donation camps, plantation drive, recognition of talents etc. He also detailed out other activities of the Sansthan and shared the memories of late Shri Kuldeep Dadwalia.Local MLA Shri Vijay Agnihotri and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
