A day after the three civilians were killed in Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, the National Conference (NC) on Wednesday said that the continuous civilian killings in the valley seems that the government has learnt no lesson from 2016 unrest.National Conference (NC) General Secretary, Ali Muhammad Sagar told KNS that the government has learnt no lesson from the 2016 unrest. “The civilian killing’s that goes unabated in the Valley clearly indicates that the government has learnt no lesson from the last year’s (2016) unrest. I believe that the civilian killings were avoidable. The civilians must not be involved in the anti-militancy operations. The killings are bound to trigger protests in the Valley,” Sagar said.He said that the government is itself deteriorating the situation in the Valley.

“One fails to understand that why the government fails to stop the civilian killings in the Valley. Despite tall claims of the government about bringing the local militants back, the civilian killings are still ongoing in the Valley,” he added. While condemning the Chadoora civilian killings, the NC leader termed the incident as ‘very unfortunate’ and said such happenings here have resulted in the alienation between the government and the people. “The continuous civilian killings and other anti-people policies adopted by the incumbent government has resulted in the alienation between the government and the people,” Sagar said.Pertinently, three civilians identified as Zahid Rashid Ganai son of Abdur Rashid Ganie of Chadoora, Amir Fayaz Waza, 18, son of Fayaz Ahmed of Waza Mohalla, Wathoora and Ishaq Ahmed Wani, 24, son of Abdur Rashid of Waoosa, Rangreth were killed during the clashes in Chadoora area after the encounter was raged between the forces and militants in the area.
