DSEK holds workshop for teachers in Kupwara

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), in collaboration with District Administration, Kupwara, today held a day-long workshop-cum-training programme for cluster heads, zonal education officers, resource persons and educationists of the district under the School Monitoring Tool.District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, G M Dar, was the Chief Guest at the programme, while the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, A H Shah, presided over the programme.A detailed power point presentation was given by Master Trainers from DSEK about the latest techniques to be adopted in School Monitoring Tool devised by the experts.On the occasion, suggestions were sought from the Chief Education Officer, cluster heads and educationists of the district about the preparations of test papers and monitoring of schools by the resource persons listed for the purpose. Speaking on the occasion, the DDC impressed upon the experts of the Education Department to fully utilize the human resource and local potential and start the education process at grassroots level for the overall development of quality education in the district. He urged the teaching fraternity to adhere to the guidelines of the government in letter and spirit and work with more zeal and zest, coordination and missionary spirit.A question & answer session was also held during the programme, in which the Chief Education Officer and Principals of Higher Secondary Schools participated.
