DDC Kulgam visits Kund Valley, inspects functioning of Govt offices

Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today conducted an extensive tour of Kund Valley in the district and took stock of functioning of various Government offices.The DDC visited Razloo, Baitingo, Waltengoo, Kanchloo, Oriel, Nagangou and other adjoining villages of Kund valley.During the visit, various public deputations interacted with the DDC and appraised him about different problems confronting them.  On the occasion, the DDC gave on spot directions to the concerned officers for redressal of public grievances. He instructed PDD authorities to ensure supply of power as per schedule and undertake immediate repairs of damaged electric transformers.The DDC also visited the Primary Health Centre Razloo to take stock of healthcare facilities being provided to the patients there. He visited various sections of the health institute and asked the doctors and paramedic staff to work with added zeal.During the inspection of PHC Razloo, the DDC suspended two doctors for unauthorized absence from their duties. He directed the concerned CMO to ensure regular attendance of medical staff at all health institutions of the hilly area so that patients don’t suffer for want of medicare facility.Earlier, he inaugurated a plantation drive at Government Higher Secondary School Razloo, where he encouraged the students to plant one tree at their individual level. The DDC also took stock of facilities at the school.CEO, DFO Social Forestry, Tehsildar Devsar , Officers of Environment & Ecology and Police Departments, AEEs of PHE, PDD, R&B and other concerned accompanied the DDC.
