Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology, Choudhary Lal Singh on Monday visited Harya Chak area in Kathua district to take stock of the situation in the area.The Minister appealed the general public to maintain calm and harmony.  He said that some disruptive elements are hell bent upon derailing the peaceful atmosphere of the State, especially in Jammu region. “These elements have made several detestable attempts in the past as well to trigger communal passions in the region,” he said and added that those involved in such criminal activities won't be spared.While appealing all sections of society to stay united to foil the nefarious designs of such elements, the Minister said that they shouldn't lose tempers in these crucial times. "We all have to keep the situation under control and defeat the nefarious  designs by vested interests who want to see the State in flames,", he said.Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ashkoor Wani and SSP Kathua accompanied the Minister during the visit.
