Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma, today convened a meeting with the officers and prominent citizens of village Patrara to discuss and review the developmental plan for the village adopted under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna.MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Batt Assistant Commissioner Developmental Noor Alam, District Social Welfare Officer Dr.Abdul Khabir besides other officers were present on the occasion .While speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna envisions holistic development of the villages with best of amenities and facilities for the people .He said that the government has taken important initiatives, aimed at financial inclusion, creation of model villages, clean India and building of digital infrastructure and stressed that public partaking is the key to successful implementation of these programmes .
Mr. Sharma asked the concerned officers to work in tandem to ensure effective implementation of these programmes and generate massive awareness among the people so that they can avail benefits of centrally sponsored schemes and other flagship programmes.MLA Nowshera also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the objective of SAGY to strengthen the gram panchayats and mobilization of social resources. He sought people’s participation in identifying developmental needs and set priorities in integrated manner.The people also projected various development demands which were mainly related to improving road network, adequate health care facilities, water/power supply, improving sanitation, streamlining old age/widow pensions, construction of community hall at Patrara etc.Member Parliament while responding to various issues projected by the locals assured them that requisite steps will be taken to improve the developmental scenario in the area.
