Oakridge International School organized a seminar on importance of the books in students life .This activity was organized to encourage reading books acquaint children with new books and experience the pleasure and joy of reading. Principal of the School Ramanjit Ghuman while encouraging the students said that In this fast pace world where electronic gadgets have taken over the reigns, it is important to keep alive the enriching habit of reading Students are sure to have benefited from this activity to become avid readers so that they can gain from the unfathomable treasure hiding and stored in the books. Books, which are a person’s best friends they do not demand anything but always give knowledge and wisdom.
According to her today's readers will be tomorrow's leaders and to encourage children to read more learn more ultimately lead to better lives. She further encouraged the students to explore and discover from the magical world of books.Activity commenced with ringing of the buzzer. Many children read from their choicest books and magazines while others read from their text books. A pleasant calm and silence descended all around since everybody was quiet, busy in reading. Later, Students shared their views how this platform helped them and encouraged them to develop a love for reading.
