Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Social Welfare, and Health & Medical Education, Ms. Asiea Naqash, reviewed the progress of Roads & Buildings Department (R&B) and the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) works  being carried out in Hazratbal Constituency..The meeting reviewed the project being executed for widening of the Hazratbal-Buspora Road and allied works. the minister sought details about the project, including the current status of indentation and the proposed removal of bottlenecks present around the site.The meeting was informed that bottlenecks have been identified and alignments fixed for 1.5 kilo-meters with pegs installed up to 1 km for the proposed widening, which has been fixed at a minimum width of 45 feet. The project also includes a 3.25 kilo-meter stretch from 90 Feet Road to Zakura.The Minister directed the concerned officers to prepare a DPR for widening of 10 km for submission to the Planning Department. She stressed on immediate preparation of Indent so that the process of acquisition of land can commence without any issue.

The Minister also took stock of the progress of work of the Community Hall at the Rainawari, besides widening of interior roads in the area.The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Tehsildar North, Tehsildar Eidgah among other officials, besides officers of Revenue Department.Later, the Minister chaired another  meeting and discussed the works taken up by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation in the Constituency which was attended by Joint Commissioner, Superintending Engineers, and other officers.The Minister sought details of the works taken up and the status of thier tendering process.The meeting was informed that a DPR for executing various developmental works have been submitted for approval.The meeting was also informed that repair of various drainage works have been restored.Ms Aseia also discussed Malla Bagh drainage project and functioning of dewatering stations in the Hazratbal Constituency. She directed the concerned to complete the all developmental projects in the area and ensure they prove result oriented.
