Punjab Revenue & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today visited sports parks of MarariKalan, Pakharpura and Tahli Sahib to review the ongoing work of 7 ultra modern world class sports parks being established in Majitha constituency.Mr. Majithia briefing about the 7 sports parks said that these parks are being established with the cost of Rs 250 Crore which will be completed by next month. He said that the each sports park is being developed with the cost of Rs 35 lakh with world class sports facilities. He said that other sports parks are being established at NangalPanva, Chavinda Devi, Balowali and Lehrka for which work is going at great pace.He said that all sports parks will also have special sports facilities for kids and women. Mr. Majithia said that Punjab government focused on developing sports infrastructure in last 9 years with the investment of more than Rs 800 crores to provide best sports facilities to upcoming sports persons. Mr. Majithia said that 21 new multipurpose stadiums and 7 new hockey stadiums have been established by the Punjab Government in the state. Mr. Majithia said that Punjab government not only developed sports stadiums but also provided 6490 Gym equipments and 23553 sports kits to promote sports culture in the state. Punjab Government has set up 16 sports excellence centres of various games to groom sports persons from the small age.
