The district administration today organized an awareness camp on Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) at Moughla and Teryath.While speaking on the occasion, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Kalakote Khalid Wafa, informed the gathering about the provisions of the Act. He said that services like issuance of Permanent Residence Certificate, Reserved Category Certificate, Dependent Certificate, Legal Heir Certificate, Marriage Certificate, extract of revenue record (Nakulats), Ration Card, copy of voter list, attestation of mutation, electricity connection, water connection etc fall under the Act and concerned public servants are bound to provide these services to applicant within the prescribed time frame.He further informed that in case the public servants fail to deliver services within time, applicant can file an appeal with the appellate authority which shall lead to stern action against the defaulter.The SDM also issued Permanent Resident Certificates to eligible applicants during the camp.Later, SDM also visited various education institutions and took account of their functioning.
