Recognising his exemplary services the Punjab government today appointed youth leader Parminder Singh Brar as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Punjab’s Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal. Currently, he is holding the position of President, IT Wing of Shiromani Akali Dal besides being Secretary General and Office Incharge of Youth Akali Dal (YAD). He is also member of YAD core committee.An official release here said Parminder Brar has worked ceaselessly for various social causes and public welfare initiatives.Mr Brar is an MBA in Finance besides a law graduate from the Department of Laws, Panjab University Chandigarh.
He has been conferred with the Roll of Honour and College Colour. He has also attended a specialised Human Rights Program conducted by American University, Washington College of Law in 2009. He has also cleared QLTT (Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test) and enrolled as a Solicitor Law Society of England and Wales.Born on November 10, 1983, he has the unique distinction of winning more than 50 medals at the National and State Cycling Championships held during the years 1998 to 2000. He was awarded the Best Cyclist of Ludhiana and State of Punjab. EOM
