With the quality of education improving in the government schools, the Minister for Education Mr. Naeem Akhtar on Friday was informed that students from private schools are leaving these schools educational institutions to join the government schools in Baramulla.While interacting with the locals of Banglow Bagh Baramulla the Minister was informed that from the past one year many students from private schools have left these institutions to join their Government School Banglow Bagh, due to which the school roll has increased from 60 to 300.Expressing their willingness to donate the piece of land for the upgradation of school infrastructure, the locals of Bunglow Bagh Baramulla requested the Minister to sanction additional classrooms for the school to accommodate the swelling number of students.
The Minister while interacting with the school teachers and local community members also sought their suggestions for how to further improve the educational standards in the government institutions.The Minister also appreciated the efforts of the school Headmaster and local teachers for their decision to run the school in two shifts in view of large enrolment and shortage of classrooms. He also appreciated the teachers for their efforts in enhancing the learning levels of schools children.Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal, Director School Education Dr Shah Faisal and other concerned officers accompanied the Minister during his visit.
